SPRINT OFFERING SAMSUNG GALAXY TAB FOR $300 WITH CONTRACT

lthough the Samsung Galaxy Tab is one of the best Android tablets available on the market at the moment, it is a bit expensive for a 7 inch machine. But there is good news. Sprint is now offering the tablet for $299.99 with a 2 year service contract.
A contract-free Galaxy Tab still runs $499.99. Even at that price, it is cheaper than what it was at launch.

Sources suggest that the price drop could be a way to clear inventory and make room for a new updated Galaxy Tab and that may be true. We have been hearing about a Galaxy Tab 2 for a while.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab runs Android 2.2 at the moment. Samsung may offer an update to Android Honeycomb when that version of the OS arrives. The tablet has a 1GHz Samsung Hummingbird processor, front and rear-facing cameras, 3G and WiFi connectivity. It can also function as a mobile hotspot. The US version of the Tab doesn't make phone calls, but you can install Skype to make calls on the go.
