Dell has announced a new XPS notebook. The Dell XPS 17 has the same great speakers and nice HD displays as other notebooks in the XPS family. It has also got 3D.
The 3D experience is delivered by the NVIDIA GeForce GT 555M discrete graphics announced earlier this week. It also delivers better HD video and hardware accelerated browsing.
The XPS 17 is available with an optional full HD display so that you can watch your Blu-ray movies in full HD. Another nice feature is the NVIDIA 3DTV Play software that comes with the notebook. The 3DTV allows users to send 3D content to compatible 3D televisions. Of course, to experience 3D, you will need the NVIDIA 3D glasses, but that doesn't seem to come with the laptop.
The Dell XPS 17 can be configured with the next generation Core i7, i5 or i3 processor. Integrated and discrete graphics options are available. The new Core i7 processor also supports the Wireless Display technology so that you can stream 1080p HD video to your HDTV wirelessly.
The Dell XPS 17 will be available in the US starting February 1. Prices start at $1,449.
