The 13.3 inch Sony VAIO S is now up for configuration at Sony's official website. The laptop was previously a Best Buy exclusive. The Sony Vaio S has the first generation Intel Core processors up to the Core i5-580M, Intel GMA HD integrated graphics or the NVIDIA GeForce 310M discrete graphics, up to 4GB of RAM, up to 500GB hard drive or a 256GB Solid State Drive, a DVD / Blu-ray combo drive or a Blu-ray burner. The 13.3 inch LED backlit display has a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels.
The Sony VAIO S will reportedly get 5.5 hours of battery life. It runs Windows 7 operating system. Other features include Bluetooth, Gigabit LAN, a webcam with microphone, HDMI, VGA outputs, Firewire, 3 USB 2.0 ports, SD card slots, an ExpressCard slot and optional Intel Wireless Display technology.
