The Dell Alienware M17x R3, the third version of the M17x, has started shipping. The Alienware M17x R3 is a 17.3 inch gaming laptop. It has the 2nd generation Intel Core processors - the Core i7 2820QM, i7 2720QM, or i7 2630QM, the 1.5GHz NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460M or the 1GB AMD Radeon HD 6870M video card, optional full HD and 3D-capable full HD display. Other specifications include up to 16GB of RAM, up to 2 hard drives or solid state drives via dual storage bays and a slot-loading DVD burner or Blu-ray combo.
Dell's gaming rig also has stereo speakers, USB 3.0 port, webcam, a mini-Display connector as well as HDMI output and input ports. It also supports 5.1 and 7.1 surround sound output.
The Alienware M17x R3 runs Windows 7 operating system. It is available in Stealth Black and Nebula Red colors with backlighting for keyboard, touchpad and other notebook areas.
The Dell Alienware M17x R3 has a base price of $1,499 at the Dell website.
